All surgeries are by appointment only. These can be booked in advance by telephoning the surgery.
You can now book appointments on line through Patient Access -once you have registered for this service, please ask for further details at reception, or click on the link at the top of this page.
Appointment times vary but usually begin at 9 am until 12 noon with afternoon surgeries from 2.30 pm. Before 8 am and after 6.30 pm you will be connected to the out-of-hours service who will not be able to book appointments or provide other information. They will of course be able to deal with emergency calls until the practice staff take over at 8 am each weekday morning.
We operate a triage system by which the duty doctor will call back any patient who requests to be seen on that day. This may result in the doctor booking an appointment for you or he may be able to help in some other way without the need for you to come to surgery. There is no need to call at exactly 8 am to request to be included in the triage list as the duty doctor will be calling patients back throughout the day.
It may not always be possible to see the doctor of your choice if you telephone on the day you wish to have an appointment. If you wish to see a particular doctor you should contact us outside of the early morning rush and we will offer you the next available appointment with that doctor. You may be offered, or request a telephone consultation with your doctor if this is appropriate and you do not need an examination.
The Practice is happy to provide chaperones for certain clinical procedures. Please ask for a chaperone at any time before or during the consultation.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
